Container terminal can be considered as a port queueing system. So in the many previous studies, they analyze container terminal by queueing theory. When we apply the queueing theory to container terminal, there must be required some particular condition, such as markov property, definite server description etc. But container terminal does not match to those conditions at some aspects. For example, in the queueing theory, they assume that ship`s inter-arrival times to terminal have random distribution. But ships never arrive to the designated container terminal with randomness. Ships arrive to terminal only according to their scheduled time. But owing to the weather condition of sea route and other unexpected events, ships arrive early or late at terminal compared their scheduled time. In this thesis, we do the statistical test of ship`s inter-arrival time distribution and loading/unloading time distribution at domestic container terminal. We point out that container terminals are not so suitable to the general queueing system, which could be analyzed by queueing theory. And we compare the performance of domestic container terminal by the time series analysis and introduce the simulation method increasingly used to analyze container terminal.
