본 연구는 유치원에서의 부모 자원봉사활동에 대한 교사의 인식을 알아보고자 전라북도 유치원 교사 210명을 대상으로 질문지를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석 결과 교사들은 자원봉사의 개념을 올바르게 인식하였고, 유치원과 가정간의 연계교육이 이루어지기 때문에 부모 자원봉사활동이 필요하다고 보았다. 자원봉사활동 운영에서는 유아교육기관에 대한 이해를 내용으로 소집단 토의에 의한 사전교육, 자원자 역할에 대한 책임을 지키는 태도, 단순인력 보조가 요구되는 활동영역의 참여, 자원자의 참여태도 및 역할 수행능력에 대한 원장, 교사, 부모간의 토의에 의한 평가 등을 중요하게 인식하였다. 그러나 학부모 자원활동이 잘 이루어지지 않는 것은 이에 대한 아이디어 및 연구 부족과 프로그램의 계획과 실시에의 시간부족 때문인 것으로 인식하였다. 본 연구는 자원봉사자로서 부모참여 프로그램 개발의 방향에 시사점을 준다.

The purpose of this study was to find out the teacher`s recognized on the volunteer activities of kindergartener`s parents in the kindergarten. The subjects of this study were 210 kindergarten teachers in Jeonbuk Province. The data were collected using questionnaires and t analyzed by the statistical methods of frequencies, percentages, a Chi-Square test with SPSS program. The major findings were as follows: 1) Teachers recognized rightly the concept of volunteer that is parent`s spontaneous and nonsalaried. And they recognized the need of volunteer activities in kindergarten because of continuum between the kindergarten and homes. 2) Most of the teachers recognized that the content was understanding of the kindergarten, the pre-education need to the small groups discussions. 3) Most of the teachers recognized which the volunteer activities doesn`t working because of the lack of time for program`s plan and practice. 4) Teachers need to the simple labor assistant as a volunteer activities in kindergarten. 5) Teachers recognized that the assessment need to discussion among directors, teachers and parents. The implication is as follows: 1) It needs development of parent participation program including volunteer`s role and of teaching aids and of assessment scale for it. 2) It needs a study on comparison of recognition among parents, teachers and directors for the effectiveness of volunteer activities.
