A new type of nonporous polymeric carrier-facilitated transport membranes supported by non-woven PET fabrics were successfully prepared by photo-crosslinking of vinyl crown ether unit of 15-membered ring and diacrylate and their selective transport of various mono-valent aqueous metal ions was investigated. It was found that the selectivity of the membranes to mono-valent metal picrate decreases in the order of Cs^+ > Na^- > K^+ which is explainable by the stability of host-guest complexation and the hydrophilicity of the membranes.
