Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) rhinorrhea is caused by skull base trauma. The CSF leaks from a defect in the cribriform plate of the ethmoid or sphenoid bone. Surgical closure of the CSF leak includes transfrontal and transfacial routes. Since the developement of endonasal endoscopic surgery in the 1970s, many authors have reported the endonasal endoscopic route for closure of the CSF leak. The author reports one case of endoscopic endonasal closure of CSF rhinorrhea and discusses the dvantages and limitations of this method.
