The purpose of this study was to analyze the center of gravity(CG) movement during the golf swing. Five excellent male golfers(average 1.4 strokes) volunteered for this study. Two high speed video cameras(HSC 180-NM, PEAK) were used to capture the swing motion. Based on the results of this study, the following conclusions were drawn. First, CG movements along the X-axis(side to side movement) were 22.3 ㎝(-8.5 ㎝, +22.3 ㎝). Second, CG movements along the Y-axis(up and down movement) were 5.9 ㎝(+10.1 ㎝, -5.9 ㎝). Third, CG movements along the Z-axis(back and forth movement) were 6.0 ㎝(+6.0 ㎝, -5.6 ㎝). Fourth, the maximum horizontal velocity of CG was 0.84 ㎧. After 0.14 seconds of the CG maximum velocity, the club head recorded the maximum horizontal velocity which was 30.44 ㎧.
