Cryptococcosis is a subacute and chronic mycotic infection caused by Cryptococcus neoformans. The recent rise in incidence of the disease can be attributable to the wide use of corticosteroid organ transplantations and autoimmune diseases as well as tie advent of acquired immune deficiency
syndrome. If the clinical impression of cryptococcosis is fomulated, the diagnosis can be reached
easily and accurately; moreover, a good therapeutic result can be achieved with a low dose combined regimen of amphotericin B and 5-fluorocytosine. But, the organ transpl-3nted patient need the immunosuppressive treatment essentially, and the diagnosis and treatment have many difficulty because of variability of disease delaying of diagnosis and hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity of antifungal agent itself. The several cases of after transplantation of kidney were reported in Korea. This report is about 2 cases of systemic cryptococcosis after transplantation of kidney who were studied and were confirmed by necropsy. So, we emphasis about importance of early diagnosis and treatment.
