Background/Aims: We selected 415 cases of gastric cancer involving less than two thirds of the stomach, on which more than R2 lymph node dissections were performed, from 1987 to 1991 at National Medical Center. Methods: An analysis was made to confirm the relation of the pattem of regional lympn node metastasis to the location of tumor, depth of invasion, and Borrmann type, which might contribute to determining lymph node dissection in clinical practice.
