Ten patietns who received total gastrectomy with jejunal interposition are reviewed. The indication for total gastrecomy was gastric cancer in all cases. As reconstructive method, Longmire method was done in 4 patients, and Kondo's interposition of figure 6 jejunal loop was done in 6 patients. 1) Postoperative anastomotic fistula occurred in one case which was closed after total pareneral nutrition. Transient fever due to atelectasis occurred in one patient. 2) Symptomatic reflux esophagitis occurred in 2 patients (20%), one of whom the cause of reflux was intestinal obstucion due to malignant recurrence. 3) Though weight change can not be analyzed due to frequent recurrent malignancy, two patients with reflux esophagitis did not show weight gain. 4) Transient diarrhea was complained in 2 cases (20%).
