The authors encountered two male patients with Gilberts syndrome, confirmed by calory deprivation test, light and electron microscopy. Liver biopsy specimens, obtained from all patients, revealed followings. Hepatocytic architectures are altered and there is a varing degree of smooth endoplasmic reticulum increase as with vescular dilatation. The electron dense irregularlly shaped granules resembling lipofuscin granules are scattered. The canaliculi are not dilated and microvilli are preserved.
