We experience 4 cases of chronic calcifying pancreatitis with main duct stone, in which 2 cases were related to alcohol and 1 case to CBD stone. We think that the patients with chronic calcifying pancreatitis should be treated not only by medical treatment but also by surgery to preserve more pancreatic endocrine and exocrine function.
