The present study was carried out to assess the effect of mucoprotease on aspirin induced gastric mucosal lesions in rats. The mucoprotease reduced the gastric juice volume and the gastric acid output. The mucoprotease increased the total protein in gastric secretion. And the mucoproteose significantly reduced gastric mucosal lesion (ulcer score) produced by intraperitoneal injection of aspirin. We conclude that mucoprotease protect aspirin induced gastric mucosa1 lesions in rats.
