A 52 year-old male patient was transferred to the department of nuclear medicine for a hepatobiliary scanning. He complained of epigastric pain for several months. He underwent a cholecystectomy for cholelithiasis 2 years ago. Physical examination of him at the time of scintiscanning was normal. Ten minutes after intravenous injection of 10 mCi of Tc-DISIDA, gastric activity was clearly visualized (Fig. 1). It became more intense at the consequent images (Fig. 2,3). Surprisingly, there appeared an activity similar to GB in the area of GB fossa at 20 minute image (Fig. 2). It persisted at 60 minute irnage (Fig. 3). Authors had the patient drink a cup of water. Then the activity disappeared rapidly (Fig. 4). It was thought to be the duodenal activity, Authors recommend a cup of water for a differential diagnosis of GB-like activity in hepatobiliary scan of cholecystectomized patient.
