저자들은 1994년 8월초부터 1994년 10월까지 여성요 콘돔인 페미돔의 수용성에 대한 임상적 연구를 시행하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 85%의 남성과 79%의 여성이 페미돔의 사용이 편하도고 하였다. 2. 62%의 남성과 48%의 여성이 페미돔을 계속 사용할 의사가 있다고 하였다. 3. 55%의 남성과 61%의 여성이 페미돔을 친지에게 권할 의사가 있다고 하였다. 4. 페미돔 사용할 때의 성만족도에 대하여는 75%의 남성과 80%의 여성이 평상시와 비교하 여 비슷하거나 더 높다고 하였고 83%의 남성과 88%의 여성은 콘돔 사용할 때와 비교하여 비슷하거나 더 높다고 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the user acceptability of female condom (Femidom). One hundred married couples evaluated Femidom for three months. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Among the one hundred couples, eight five males and seventy nine females thought the Femidom easy to use 2. Among the one hundred couples, sixty two males and forty eight females considered the Femidom acceptable. 3. Among the one hundred couples, fifty five males and sixty one females found the Femidom recommendable to friends. 4. On sexual pleasure using the Femidom, seventy four males and eight females felt no difference or better feeling compared to normal sexual life and eighty three males and eighty eight females felt no difference or better feeling compared to use the male condom.
