저자들은 37세의 경산부에서 임신 제 35주에 조기분만을 하였던 산모에서 확장성 분만기 심 근증으로 사료되는 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Peripartum cardiomayopathy is defined as a syndrome of cardiac failure occuring in the latter part of pregnancy or in the puerperium, without obvious cause and without prior evidence of heart disease. It is important to recongnize the association of cardiac failure and pregnancy as a separate syndrome so that, once identified, peripartum cardiomyopathy can be treated promptly and aggressively. We have exprienced one case of dilated cardiomyopathy in preterm delivery at 35th gestational weeks, which are presented with a brief review of the literature.
