본 연구는 뇨중 LH surge의 검출만으로 배란을 예측할 수 있는지를 검토하여, 배란예정일을 알지 못하는 정상적인 기능을 유지하고 있는 불임환자들에 대한 "OvuQUICK Test"의 자가시험의 임상적용가능성을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 1) "OvuQUICK Test"의 민감도는 94.7%로 뇨중 LH Surge가 검출되었고, 이후 배란이 확인되었다. 2) 뇨중 LH Surge의 검출후 2일이내에 배란의 증거가 확인된 환자의 54명의 환자중 50명으로 92.6%였다. 3) 인공수정을 시행한 환자 22명중 91.0%인 20명의 환자가 뇨중 LH Surge가 검출된 다음날 배란이 확인되었다. 4) 뇨중 LH Surge 측정 당일의 자궁경관 점액 평가점수는 Grade II와 Grade III가 각각 41.5%(22/53)와 24.5%(13/53)이었다. 이상의 결과로 미루어 "OvuQUICK Test"는 가정에서 스스로 할 수 있는 자가시험 방법을 권장할 수 있으며, 배란일정일을 알지 못하는 불임의 극복에 도움이 될 것으로 생각된다.

This research was carried out ot investigate the clinical usefulness of OvuQUICK test for the prediction of ovulation. 1. The percentage of ovulated cases within 2 days after urine LH Surge detected by "OvuQUICK test"was 92.6%(50/54), and 3 of 57 patients were ovulated without urine LH surge. Of 54 patients, 45(83.3%) had urine LH surge for only one day and ovulated. 2. On LH surge, the change of cervical mucus scored by Insler score was 41.5% for grade II and 24.5% for grade III, respectively. 3. The time required for the "OvuQUICK test"was 3 minutes and the percentage of ovulated at the same or after urine LH surge was 94.7%. Therefore, "OvuQUICK test" was proved as a useful self-test for the patient who had infertility problem.
