1989년 1월부터 1989년 7월까지 난관폐쇄가 원인인 42명의 불임환자를 대상으로 FSH와 HMG로 과배란을 유도한 후 난관성형술과 함께 시행한 경우(41례)와 복강경(1례)으로써 난자를 흡인채취하여 체외수정을 시켜서 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 42명의 환자로부터 배란직전의 성숙난자 29개(35%), 중등도 성숙난자 36개(43%), 미성숙난자 18개(21%), 광성숙난자 1개(1%)를 흡인하였다. 2. 수정 16∼20시간 후 29개의 배란직전의 성숙난자는 10개(34.5%)에서, 36개의 중등도 성숙난자는 18개(50%)에서, 18개의 미성숙난자는 6개(33.3%)에서 전핵이 발견되었다. 3. 수정 35∼45시간 후 34개의 수정난중 20개(59%)에서 2∼4세포기로 난할되었으며, 3개(9%)에서 4∼6세포기로 난할되었으며 나머지 3개의 배아는 uneven하게 분할이 일어났다.

Authors has performed in vitro fertilization on 42 infertility women, all with tubal occulsion. Total number of collected oocytes were 84 and 29 were preovulatory, 36 were moderated mature, 18 were immature and 1 was postmature. After about 16 to 20 hours of insemination, 10 oocytes out of 29 preovualtory ones, 18 oocytes out of 36 moderate mature ones, 6 oocytes out of 18 immature ones showed two pronuclei. Seventy six percent of four fertilized oocytes did normally cleavage.
