Anencephaly is time-specific developmental defect probably between the onset of neural fold development (16days) and befor closure of the anterior neuropore (24-26 days) The cause of Anencephaly is not known definitely, but it appears that multiple factors are involved such as genetic durg, infection, metabolic, chemical and irradiation insults. Ten cases of Anencephaly in 11490 births at our Hospital during last five years from October, 1981 to October, 1986 were reported with biref reivew of literatures
