저자들은 최근 54세된 가정주부에 자궁육종으로 입원하여 수술적으로 제거된 조직의 병리조직검사에서 부대동 맥림파절에 전이된 자궁내막기질성육종으로 진단되어 항암화학요법 및 방사선치료 그리고 홀몬요법으로 치험 하였기에 문헌적 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Uterine sarcoma, constituting three to five percent of all uterine malignancies remains one of the most lethal form of any malignant neoplasms endometrial stromal sarcoma of the uterus, in particular , is noted for its tendency of early systemic metastasis resulting in uniformly grave prognosis, but its occurrence nonetheless is rare. Endometrial stomal sarcoma of the uterus arises from malignant transformation of Endometrial stomal cells. It carries high rates of metastasis and recurrence and its early diagnosis is known to be very difficult. the disease has poor 5-yr survival despite vigorous treatment , usually not exceeding 15 to 33 percent. The authors recently experienced a case in which a 54 year old woman was admitted to the Department of Obsterics and Gyunecology, Yonsei University Medical Center under the diagnosis of uterine sarcoma, who then was found to have Endometrial stomal sarcoma after surgery as confirmed by histopathologic examination of surgically removed uterus of the patients. We present this case along with a brief review of the literatures
