서울대학교 병원 산과에서 제왈절개술로 분만한 40명의 산모를 대상으로 태반만출후 Prostaglandin F2a 1000 ug을 자궁근육에 직접주사하여 혈압, 맥박의 변화 및 심전도 소견 등을 투여전후 비교분석하여 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 수축기 혈압은 Prostaglandin F2a 투여 5분, 10분, 15분후에는 약각 증가하는 경향을 보이 고, 20분, 25 분, 30분후는 약간 감소하는 경향을 보였으나 통계학적 의의는 없었다 (p>0.1) 2. 확장기 혈압은 Prostaglandin F2a 투여 5분, 10분, 15분후 약간 증가하는 추세였고, 20분, 25분후는 약간 감소하였으나 역시 통계학적 의의는 없었으며(p>0.1) 투여후 30분에는 변화가 없었다. 3. 맥박의 변화는 Prostaglandin F2a 투여후 매시간별로 감소하였으나 통계학적 의의는 없었 다. (p>0.1) 4. 자궁수축효과는 Methergin투여군과 비교하여 볼 때 거의 동일하였다. 5. Prostaglandin F2a투여후 심전도 소견의 변화는 없었다. 6. Prostaglandin F2a 투여후 나타나는 부작용으로는 오심 1례(2.5%) 대발작 1례(2.5%)여다. 저자들은 Prostaglandin F2a는 정상혈압의임신부뿐 아니라 고협압을 동반한 임산부에 있어서 도 심혈관계의 변화없이 안전하게 사용할 수 있는 자궁수축제라는 결론을 얻었다.

It has been reported that Prostaglandin F2a which was recently introduced as good uterotonics did not effect on systemic blood pressure or pulse rate. However many clinicians have said to expreience hypotension and tachycardia after injection of Prostaglandin F2a to achieve uterine contraction . So we studied prospectively the effects of Prostaglandin F2a on systemic blood pressure, pulse rate and uterine contractility after intramyometrial injection of Prostaglandin F2a 1000 ug to 40 women who underwent cesarean section. Prostaglandin F2a was shown to have a tendency to increase both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in post-injection 5 min , 10min , 15min and decrease both systolic blood pressure and decrease in systolic blood pressure in post-injection 30 min . However the change in blood pressure and pulse were statistically insignificant The contactile effect of Prostaglandin F2a was same as that of methergin. Noticed side effects of Prostaglandin F2a after intramyometrial injection were grandmal seizure (2.5%) and nausea (2.5%).
