1983년 1월부터 1985년 6월까지 서울대학교병원 산부인과에서 초음파를 실시했던 임신부중 조건에 맞은 1,017건의 아두대횡경 측정치에 대한 분석을 하고 국내의 다른 병원 및 외국의 자료와 비교하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 임신주수에 따른 아두대횡경치의 희귀직선 방정식은 다음과 같다. a. 14주-42주 Y=0.251X-0.268(r2=0.1987, t=31.9, P<0.001). b. 14주-28주 Y=0.308X-1.494(r2=0.993, t=53.3, P<0.001). c. 29주-42주 Y=0.156X+3.119(r2=0.975, t=16.1, P<0.001). 2. 한국인과 미국인과의 자료를 비교 분석한 결과 각 구분별로 모두에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(P<0.001).

Ultrasonic fetal biparietal diameter measurements were obtained from 1,017 pregnant women between 14th and 42nd week of gestation, and the linear regression equation by the segments of gestational weeks formulated. The obtained data were compared with those derived from other studies. The results were as follows: 1. The differences of BPD in each segment of gestational weeks between Korea and American were statistically significant(P<0.001).
