1978년 1월부터 1982년 12월까지 만 5년간 계명의대 동산의료원 산부인과에 내원하여 자궁경부암의 병리조직학적 진단을 받고 치료전 기결정을 위하여 재검사를 실시한 Ib기 이상 953명을 대상으로 단순휴우촬영, 경정맥신우촬영, 단순골격촬영, 방광경검사 및 직장경 검사의 결과를 분석한 결과 다음의 결과를 얻었다 1 단순흉부촬영에서는 전체 953명중 IIb기에서 1명, IIIb기에서 1명에서만 전이소견이 발견되어 폐전이는 병기에 관계없이 드물게 나타났다 2 경정맥신우촬영결과 자궁암의 전이에 관련된 소견은 953명의 환자 중 50명에서 발견이 되었으며 IIIb기이하에서 19명이 이상소견을 나타내어 이 자체가 기결정에 영향을 주었다 3 단순골격촬영은 IIb이상 모든 환자에서 실시했으나 IIb기 1명, IIIb기 1명등 단, 2명에서만 전이를 발견할 수 있었다 4 직장경검사는 Ib기 이상 모든 예에서 실시했으나 전이는 IIa기에 1명, IIb에서 2명에서만 발견되었다 5 방광경검사는 Ib이상 모든 예에서 실시했으며 전이는 IIa기이상 16명에서 발견이 되었다 이상의 결과로 보아 신우조영술 및 단순흉부촬영은 Ib기 이상 모든 환자에서 실시하는 것이 바람직하며 방광경검사는 IIa기 이상에서 또, 직장경검사 및 단순골격촬영은 증상이 있는 경우에 실시하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 사료된다

To evaluate the value of pretreatment staging procedures, especially chest films, intravenouspyalograms, long bone studies, sigmoidoscopy and cystoscopy, the records of 953 patients with carcinoma of the cervix during the period from January, 1987 to December 1982, were reviewed It was found that intravenouspyelogram and chest film recomended in all cases of carcinoma of the cervix, as base lines for follow up study and as pretreatment staging procedures Tumor related findings in long bone study and sigmoidoscopy were rare, so these studies recomended on symptomatic patients Cystoscopy showed no tumor related findings below stage Ib, so this study recomended in the patients with over stage IIa
