저자들은 융모성질환 환자 21명(저위험군 10명, 고위험군 11명)을 대상으로 숙주방어작용 기전의 회복정도를 관찰하고자 OK-432를 투여하여 투여 전후의 자연살해 세포파괴능과 전체 T세포, 혐조T세포 및 억제T세포의 변화를 측정하여 다음과 같은 성적을 얻었다 1 고위험군 융모상피암 환자에서 자연살해세포 파괴기능은 정상대조군에 비하여 유의하게 감소하였으며, OK-432투여에 의하여서도 회복되지 않았다 2 저위험군 융모성질환 환자에서 OK-432투여전 전체 T세포, 억제 T세포, 협조 T세포는 정상대조군에 비하여 유의한 차가 없었으며, OK-432투여전과 투여후의 차이도 없었다 3 고위험군에서 전체 T세포는 정상대조군에 비하여 유의한 감소가 있었으며, OK-432투여후 유의하게 증가하였다 4 고위험군에서 억제 T세포는 정상대조군보다 유의하게 증가하였으며 OK-432투여후 유의하게 감소하였다 5 고위험군에서 협조 T세포는 정상대조군에 비하여 유의하게 감소하였으며, OK-432투여후 유의하게 증가하였다 6 고위험군에서 협조 T세포와 억제 T세포의 비율은 정상대조군에 비하여 유의하게 낮았으며, OK-432투여후 유의하게 증가하였다 이상의 성적으로 미루어 보아 고위험군 융모상피암 환자에서 OK-432는 자연살해세포 파괴능에 의한 숙주방어작용 보다는 협조 T세포를 상승 시켜 lymphokine이나 체액성 면역반응에 참여하므로서 숙주방어 작용기전을 항진시키는 것으로 추측된다

As a biological immune response modifier OK-432 has been used as a nonspecific active immunotherapeutic agent which activates lymphoreticular function in cancer patients But the mode of OK-432 action is not proben yet In order to observe the recovery of host defense mechanism, we performed this study on subjects of 21 trophoblastic disease(TRD) patients(11 high risk and 10 low risk Patients) as experimental group and 9 normal women as control group, and compared the results of before and after injection of OK-432 for 4 weeks Natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity(NKMC) was measured by standard 51Crrelease assay using K-562 cell line as target cell, and pan T-cell, helper T-cell and suppressor T-cell were measured by using monoclonal antibodies to pan T-cell(anti Leu-1), suppressor T-cell(anti Leu-2a) and helper T-cell(anti Leu-3a), respectively 1 In high risk group of TRD patients, a significant decrease of NKMC was found before injection of OK-432 when compared with the control group, and no significant change was observed after injection of OK-432 2 In low risk group, pan T-cell, suppressor T-cell and helper T-cell showed no significant change when compared with normal control group There was no significant change after injection of OK-432 3 In high risk group, pan T-cell showed significant decrease when compared with normal control group, but by injection of OK-432 it significantly increase 4 In high risk group, suppressor T-cell showed significant increase when compared with normal control group, but after injection it showed significant decrease 5 In high risk group, helper T-cell was significantly low when compared with normal control group, but after injection it showed significant increase 6 In high risk group, the ratio of helper T-cell and suppressor T-cell was significantly low when compared with that of normal control group, but after injection it showed significant increase
