Leukemia is the most frequently encountered fatal malignant disease in females and the incidence is low and difficult to estimate when one considers the combination of leukemia and pregnancy The incidence of leukemia in pregnancy would be expected to be less than one in 75,000 Approximately 300 pregnancies associated with leukemia have been reported in the literature There is no evidence that pregnancy itself alters the prognosis for the patient with acute leukemia: thus, termination of the pregnancy should not be expected to alter the course of the disease of the mother Most chemotherapeutic agents cross the placenta and may damage the fetus, particularly in the first trimester If the pregnancy is in the second or third trimester, it is likely that chemotherapy will not increase the risk of the damage Recently, we experienced one case of acute leukemia in 23-year-old pregnant woman So we presented this case with brief review of the literatures
