저자들은 1983년 8월부터 1984년 12월까지 연세의대부속 영동병원 산부인과에서 전자궁탈출증을 silastic 질 pessary를 만들어 처치한 3예를 경험하였기에 다음과 같은 결과를 보고하는 바이다. 1. Silastic 질 pessary는 재료구입이 용이하며 만들기 쉽고 가벼우며 삽입 및 제거가 용이하며 유용하였다. 2. Pessary의 크기는 개개인의 해부학적 구조에 따라 정확히 계측, 제작해야 한다. 3. Silastic 질 pessary 삽입 후 적어도 6~8주 잔격으로 정규적인 추적진찰 및 pessary의 정화가 필요하다.

Numerous patterns of vaginal pessary, designed in a variety of materials have been used in the management of prolapsed, patients, especially of poor operative risks or old age. Vaginal pessaries could be hardly available in our country. We present our own pattern of vaginal pessay, designed in a material of silicone and experience of the use of it for those totally prolapsed 3 patients(two 81 year old and one cirrhotic and cerebral infarcted).
