This study was undertaken for the clinical evaluation and statistical analysis on the 734 cases of ectopic pregnancies who were admitted and treated from Oct. 5, 1971 to Dec. 31. 1982. 1. Hospital incidence of ectopic pregnancy was 1 in 20.8 delivaries(734/15,267). 2. Most common age group was 30~34 years old, and mean age of ectopic gestation was 31.4. 3. Nulligravida was 5.3%, nullipara was 25.9%, and women who have experienced artificial abortion were 68.8%. 4. Mean duration of infertility was 2.9 years. 5. 7.8% had previous Lap. tubal ligation,, 6.9% previous ectopic pregnancy, appendectomy and tuberculosis were 5.3%, respectively. 6. On symptomatological analysis, lower abdominal pain encountered in 87.2%, viginal spotting in 60.6%, dizziness in 6.0%, nausea & vomiting in 3.5%. 7. 40.1% of ectopic gestation admitted within 1 week after symptom appearing, and its mean was 1.8 week. 8. Culdocentesis was carried out in 282 cases and its accuracy rate was 90.1%, 2.8% was negative and 7.1% was failed. 9. Ectopic gestation was implanted on tube in 98.2%, on ovary 0.7%, on abdomen 0.7%, and on cervix 0.4%, respectively. 10. The total amount of intra-abdominal hemorrhage between 501~1000ml was in 35.9%, and its mean was 1160ml.
