한양대학교 산부인과학 교실에서 최근사지의 다발성기형 산모로부터 자연분만 후에 발생한 후복막 출혈 1예를 경험하였다. 출혈의 원인은 자궁 또는 난소정맥의 파열로 추측되었고 전자궁 적출술과 tamponade를시행 치험하였으며 이에 관한 문헌고찰을 가하였다.

Massive retroperitoneal hemorrhage is a cause Of sudden maternal death. Diagnosis is difficult, especially during labor. Recently. we experienced a case of retroperitoneal hemorrhage in puerperium. from mother who had multiple anomalies of extremities. we assumed that the cause Of retroperitoneal hemorrhage might be the rupture of uterine or ovarian vein. And so, total abdominal hysterectomy with tamponade into the broad ligament was performed, and the postoperative course was uneventful. This report is dealing with study of a case, and brief review of literature.
