저자등은 omphalocele 1례를 최근에 경험하였기에 간략한 문헌고찰과 아울러 증례를 보고하 였다.

Omphalocele is uncommon abdominal wall defect of newborn. omphalocele is a herniation of abdominal contents into the base of the umbilical cord with a covering membraneous sac which is not coverted with skin but covered with Wharton`s jelly and amniotic membrane, and the umbilical cord is inserted into the apex of the sac. A case of omphalocele which is recently experienced in S.C.H College Hospital is reported with a brief review of related literature.
