1. At the time of reversal mean age of the clients was 32.8 years(25-41 years) eighty percent of the clients had one or two children. 2. Fifty-five percent (44/80 cases) of the clients had been sterilized by laparoscopic procedures, 37 out of 44 cases by electrocoagulation. Fourteen cases of tubal ligation on cesarean section, 12 cases of postpartum tubal ligation and 8 cases of mini-laparotomy were included in this study. 3. The reason for requesting reversal of sterilization in the majority (57.5%) was a loss of their children. Other reasons were desire for more children (32.5%) and remarriage (10%). 4. Average interval between sterilization and reversal was 40 months (3-100 months) 5. The site of the reanastomosis in the majority (51.2%) was isthmus-ampulla. Other sites were cornual-ampulla (20%), ampulla-ampula (18.7%) isthmus-isthmus(6.2%). 6. The postoperative length of the tube was 5cm or more in 86.2% and 4.5cm or less in 13.8%. In the case of postpartum tubal ligation, it had the longest postoperative length of the tube (8cm in average) and shortest (5.8cm in average) in the case of laparoscopic cautery. 7. The operation time was 3 hours or less in 87.5% and 3 1/2 hours or more in 12.5% (10/80 case). 8. Only 7 cases of intrauterine pregnancies (6 undelivered 1 spontaneous abortion) were confirmed in 1-12 month follow-up after tubal reanastomosis. The longer period of follow-up will be needed in order to asess overall pregnancy rate and various factors influencing success rate.
