저자는 1979년 1월1일부터 1979년 12월31일까지 만 1년간 부산대학병원, 일신부인병원 산부 인과에 입원하여 분만한 9843예의 산모중 150예의 쌍태분만 산모에 대하여 임상기록지를 기 초로 하여 얻은 자료를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 쌍태분만의 단태분만에 대한 비율은 1:65.6이었다. 2. 연령분포는 20-41세이었으며 평균연령은 27.4세이었다. 쌍태 분만중 초산부가 50.0%를 차 지하였다. 3. 임신기간은 37-39주 군이 많은 분포를 보여 30.7%이었으며 평균 36.7주이었다. 4. 태위는 두위-두위가 55.3%, 두위-둔위가 20.0%이었다. 5. 쌍태의 분만지속시간은 평균 9.29시간이었으며 제 1아 만출로부터 제 2아 만출까지의 소 요시간은 평균 16분이었다. 6. 쌍태아의 평균체중은 2225gm으로 제 1아는 2232gm이고 제2아는 2218gm이었다. 1분 Apgar Score 7이상인 경우는 제 1아에서 75.4%, 제2아에서는 68.7%이었다. 7. 태아의 성별은 양측 남아가 33.3% 양측 여아가 53.4%로 동성인 경우가 86.7%이었다. 8. 주산기 사망은 38예(12.7%)였으며 그 원인으로는 미숙아가 65.8%로 가장 많았다.

This retrospcetive clinical study was attemped to analysis 150 cases of twin deliveries out of 9843 cases delivered at the Department of Obsterics and Gyunecology College of Medicine, Pusan National Unviersity Hospital and Busan Il shin women`s Hospital during 1 year, from Jan.1, 1979 to Dec. 31 1979. The results obtained were as follows. 1. The frequency of twin births was one in 65.6 births. 2. Age of twins mother ranged from 20 to 41 years and mean was 27.4 Nullipara occupied 50% of all. 3. 30.7% of twins were delivered between 37th and 39th week of gestation with average of 36.7 week. 4. In presentation of twins, vertex-vertex combination was most common(55.3%) and vertex-breech was next (20.0%) 5. Duration of labor was less than 12 hours in 127 cases (84.6%) and mean was 9.29hours. Average time interval between first and second delivery was 16 minutes. 6. The average weight for viable twins was 2225gm. (2232gm. for the first and 2218gm for the second). 1 minute Apgar Score of over 7 was shown in 75.4% of the first and 68.7% of the second twin. 7. There were 50 cases of both males (33.3%) 80cases of both females (53.4%) and 20 cases of opposite sex (13.3%) and in about half of the twin deliveries the placenta monochorionic and diamnionic membranes were seen. 8. There was 38 perinatal deaths revealing 12.7% of perinatal mortality rate of twin
