결론 1978년 6월부터 1798년 12월까지 카톨릭 의과대학 부속 성모병원 산부인과에 유도분만을 목적으로 입원한 임신 38주에서 43주 사이의 산모 45예(초산 24예, 경산 21예)를 대상으로 경구용 PGE2정을 투여하여 다음과 같은 성적을 얻었다. 1. 유도분만 45예중 성공률은 77.8%였으며, 초산부에서 70.8%, 경산부에서 81.9%였다. 2. 진통발현 시간은 성공한 예에서는 평균 54.3분, 실패한 예에서는 95.4분이었고 유효진통까지의 시간은 평균 149.7분, 분만까 지의 시간은 786.2분이었다. 투여된 PGE2의 양은 진통발현까지 평균 0.72mg, 유효진통까지는 평균 1.81mg, 분만까지는 평균 3.6mg이 사용되었다. 3. 평균 유도분만시간은 초산부에서 14.8시간, 경산부에서 9.7시간이 소요되었다. 4. PGE2의 사용량은 3.0mg이 60.0%로 가장 많았으며 3.0mg이하의 사용으로 80%에서 성공하였다. 5. 조기양수 파막된 경우 83.3%에서 성공하였으며 유효진통이 초래되어 인공양수 파막을 병행한 전예에서 성공하였다. 6. 신생아의 Apgar`s score는 94.0%에서 7이상이었다. 7. PGE2 경구투여 중 발생한 부작용은 45예중 7예에서 발생하였고 오심이 3예로 가장 많았으나 모두 경미하였다. 8. 임신주수와 유도분만의 성공률과는 관계가 없었다. 9. 초산부에서는 70.8%, 경산부에서는 81.7%의 성공률을 보였다. 10. Pelvic score가 높을수록 유도분만의 성공률은 높다.

For the purpose of evaluating the effect of oral PGE2 for induction of labor in full term pregnancies 45 primiparous and multiparous and multiparous with various indication for induction of labor were selected, and oral PGE2 tablets(o.5mg per tablet) were administered hourly 6 times for 1 Kur. If effective labor occurred, the characters of labor pain, outcome of induction and the condition of new-born infant were compaired with various conditions of pregnant women. if induction failed another Kur of PGE2 was added. The results were as follows: 1) Success rates for induction were 70.8% in primiparous, 81.9% in multiparous women and average 77.8%. 2) The durations of time for onset of labor pain were 54.3 minutes in successful cases, 95.4 minutes in lfailed cases and average 70.2 minutes in total 42 cases. No labir pain was initiated in remained 3 cases. 3) Average durations of labor for delivery were 14.8% gours in primiparous and 97 hours in multiparous women. 4) Total dosage for inducin of labor was mostly less than 3.0mg in 80% of all successful cases. 5) All the cases of artifical and 83.3% of premature rupture of membrane were successful in induction of labor 6) Angan`s scores were above 7 point in 94.0% of all successful cases. 7) Side effects such as nausea and vomiting were found in 7 of 45 cases but they were negligably mild in charactor and severity. 8) There was no relationship between gestational weeks and outcome of PGE2 induction. 9) Success ratesewere 70.8% in primiparous, and 81.7% in multiparous women. 10) The higher the pelvicescores was, the higher the success ratese resultes.
