1. PGE2의 경구투여에 의한 분만유도의 26예중 그 성공률은 초산 9예중 5예, 경산 17예중 16예 성공으로 각각 55.6%, 94.1%의 성공률을 보였으며 전체 성공률은 80.8%였다. 2. 약물 주입후 규칙적인 진통유발까지의 소요시간은 초산부에서 평균 5시간 41분±2시간 35분, 경산부에서는 2시간 28분±2시간 2분이 걸렸다. 3. 약물주입 후 만출까지의 소요시간은 초산부에서 평균 11시간 20분±4시간 27분, 경산부에서는 6시간 57분±3시간 19분이 걸렸다. 4. 임신주수에 따른 성공률을 보면 40주에 가까울수록 높은 성공률을 보였으며, 40주가 　과할수록 낮은 성공률을 나타내었다. 5. Pelvic Score에 따른 성공률을 보면 Pelvic Score가 높을수록 높은 성공률을 나타내었다. 6. 분만에 소요된 PGE2의 평균량은 3.1mg±1.2mg이었다. 7. 신생아의 Apgar Score는 초산부나 경산부에서 별차가 없었으며 8점 이상이 대다수를 차지하였다. 8. 산후출혈은 평균 360ml였으며, 수혈이 필요한 예는 한 예도 없었다. 9. 부작용은 총 26매중 2예로서 각각 구토와 불규칙 태아심음이었다.

Oral prostaglandin E2 tablets were used for inducing labor in 26 patients without initial rupture of membrane. The dosage regimen used was 1 tablet(0.5mg) hourly for 6 times as 1 kur. if it fails in 1 kur, second regimen was given in next morning as a second kur. Amniotomy was performed in most cases, when cervix was dilated about 4-5cm. The results were as follows : 1. Successful labor was achieved in 5 of 9(55.6%) in primigravida, 16 of 17(94.1%) in multigravida, and the average success rate was 80.8%. 2. Mean medication-initiation of labor time in primigravida was 5 hours 41 minutes ±2 hours 35 minutes and that in multigravida was 2 hours 28 minutes ±2 hours 2 minutes. 3. Mean medication-delivery time in primigravida was 11 hours 20 minutes ±4 hours 27 minutes and that in multigravida was 6 hours 57 minutes ±3 hours 19 minutes. 4. Sucess rate was higher in gestation below 40 weeks, than over 40 weeks. 5. It shows the higher pelvic score, the higher successful induction of labor. 6. Mean maximal dosage of PGE2 was 3.1±1.2mg. 7. Mean one minute apgar score was over 8 points in both primigravida and multigravida. 8. Mean blood loss was 360ml and there was no case to need transfusion. 9. Side effects were found to occur rarely; among them vomiting and irregularity of fetal heart tone were noted in 2 of 26 cases(0.77%).
