Among 177 cases 150 cases (84.7%) were done for sterilization 26 cases (14.7%) for diagnosis and one case (0.6%) for therapeutic purpose A. Tubal sterilization The obtaining results from 150 cases of tubal sterilization were as following 1. The age About 88% of total were 30 to 39 years old. Most of the husbands were over 35 year old 2. The number of children Most fo the patients who come for laparoscopic tubal sterilization had 2 boys and 2 girls . The family planning has been worked on to have 2 children in each family but the results were not satisfactory as shown in table 3. 3. Education Of the 150 cases, 73.3% of total was under the junior high school graduate in comparison to 44.7% of high school graduate and 32.7% of college graduate of their husbands. It is interesting to know that the partner`s education has a great influence on the economic status of family and it also helps to decide the future of their home 4. The occupation of partner. The majority of them (34%) were business men. Rest of them were government employee, agriculture and company employee in decreasing order. 5. Artificial abortion The cases of patients who had not experienced artificial abortion were only 24 (16%) but over half of experienced patients had 1 to 4 times of art. abortion B. Therapeutic laparoscopy Ectopic intrauterine contraceptive device in the peritoneal cabity was removed by laparoscopy of one hole technique in one case without complications. C. Complications There were 3 bleeding problems during laparoscopic tubal sterilization . of 3 complcated cases of bleeding from the corpus and mesosalpinx in electric coagulation or siliastic band . These complications was easily controlled by recoagulation of bleeding area except one requiring laparotomy. Of 3 cases of subcuraneous emphysema during pneumoperitoneum all cases were performed successfully after removal of gas of emphysema.
