myxoma peritonei is a relatively rare condition in which massive gelationous accumulation in the peritioneal cavity and gelatinous infiltration of the serous tissue resulting from perforation of mucinous cystoma or mucocele. Two cases of myxoma peritonei originated from benign mucinous cystadenoma of the ovary were reported with a brief review of the literature.
