The rupture of the gravid uterus is one of the serious complications in pregnant woman. Early diagnosis and treatment is required for decreasing the maternal and fetal mortality. A case of uterine rupture associated with cutaneous fistula that was experienced in Dept. of Obst. & Gynec., Catholic Medical College, St. Vincent`s Hospital was presented. It was incomplete uterine rupture during labor, possibly due to oxytocin stimulation at local clinic. Cutaneous fistula was developed during puerperium at periumbilical area. We found the rupture site at isthmus portion and connection with periumbilical cutaneous fistula. Subtotal hysterectomy was performed. The postoperative course of above case was good. The literatures on the uterine rupture are reviewed briefly.
