신생아 2차 성비는 여100:남203.5로 남아가 월등히 높았다.

The delivery of giant babies is a big problem of obstetricians, it is not only difficult delivery but also various complications to the mothers and babies. Between January, 1, 1960, and December, 31, 1969, there were 258 giant babies among the 8703 deliveries, at the dept of Ob & Gyn. Severance Hosp. Yon sei University. The results obtained were as follows. 1) The incidence of giant babies (over 4kg) was 2.96%. 2) The incidence in multipara was higher than primipara. 3) The highest incidence was found among the women 30 to 34 year of age. 4) The incidence increased abruptly from 41 weeks of pregnancy. 5) Obstertrical complications were more common, there were, toxemia of pregnancy, shoulder dystocia, and postpartum hemorrhage. 6) Diabetes was the most common maternal complication. 7) Incidences of midforceps and c-section were higher than that of overall. 8) Perinatal mortality was higher than overall (about 2.5 times common). 9) In the sex ratio of giant babies, male was more common (female: male = 100: 203.5)
