The direct smear study for the trichomonas vaginalis vaginitis (T.V.)was perfomed for 364 out-patients selected at random, with the following conclusion; 1. Of the examined, were positive for ithe T.V. consistingof all examined. 2. Of 87 positive seres, nonpregnant wommen were 25.55%, approximately the same incidence the average, whereas pregnant women occupied 18.65%, lower incidenc ethan that of nonpregnant or average. 3. Patients with foamy white or foamy purulent purulent secretion showed higher incidence of 66.66% 4. Of the all T.V positive cases, strawberry change in the vagina was observed in 69% of symptomatic but only of asymptomatomatic cases. 5. Among the related clinical diseases the vaginal disease was most frequently complicated with the T.V. ranging 58.53%. 6. Pruritus vulvae was complained of in less than one third of the positive cases. 7. History of previous venereal disease or intraurine loop insertion resulted in a slightly higher incidence. while that of abortion did not. 8. In 6T.V, positive women, concomittant treatment for the husband`s with flagyl was tried, resulting in 100% cure. 9. The secretory phase of endometrial cycle was proved in 32.85%, the peak age incidence was 40 to 49, being 33.9% of all and in para was 40 to 49, being 33.9% of all and in para 2 was revealed the lower incidence of 17.94% than any other parity. 10. Portio erosion seemed to have little effect for the incidence.
