Evaluation of the urinary pregnandiol in the urine obtained from six cases of normal gravida and nine cases of normal puerpera were performed by Guterman and Schraeder`s method. Results are shown below. 1) The urinary pregnandiol levels in the normal gravida present the gradual increase in amount from 4th week of gestation to 20th week and reach the highest level at about 32nd ~ 36th week of gestation, however, gradual decrease are observed thereafter. 2) The urinary pregnandiol level in the urine obtained from women in the puerperium present adrupt falls immediately after the delivery and become negligible on fifth post-partum day thereafter.
