It is well recognized that the optimal design and operation of process equipment for batch processes is of special interest, especially for fine chemicals. In this paper, the rigorous model has been developed for the predictions of controlling the process conditions for coal tar liquids. This model is also capable of predicting the properties of coal tar liquid pseudo fractions. The proposed model can provide a tool for the design and operations for the batch distillation of coal tar liquids.
