The pore size distributions of carefully prepared handsheet were studied in the viewpoints of recycling effect, beating effect and drying temperature and time effect, using the simple, easy-handling device, Coulter Porometer. The pore size distribution can be used in an effective index for evaluating the porous structure of the sheet. In this study, the variations of maximum pore size and its distribution were investigated and porous behaviour of the sheet by recycling treatment were characterized.
