Dissolution rate of the domestic commercial aluminium was measured in KOH solution in order to confirm its applicability as an electrode in an aluminium-air cell. This was also performed to control the dissolution rate by means of the addition of ZnO, ZnCO₃, or ZnAc as an inhibitor.
