The Li_(4/3)Ti_(5/3)O₄ doped rare earth elements was prepared from the heat treatment for 30 hrs at 600℃ of xerogel obtained by the sol-gel process. And it was investigated to apply to an anode material for the rechargeable lithium cell. As the result of charge and discharge test, first discharge capacity of Li_(4/3)Ti_(5/3)O₄ doped rare earth elements was 175 mAh/g greater than that of Li_(4/3)Ti_(5/3)O₄ and the cycleability showed good reversible.
