Cure kinetics of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A(DGEBA)/4,4-methylene dianiline(MDA)/neopentyl glycol(NPG) system filled with 5, 10, 15 and 20 phr of natural zeolite was studied by dynamic DSC analysis. Both of the activation energy and pre-exponential factor decreased as the zeolite contents increased from 0 phr to 10 phr, however, both of them increased as zeolite contents increased from 15 phr to 20 phr. Reaction rate constant for DGEBA/MDA/NPG/zeolite system was higher than that of the system without zeolite. It was considered that the hydroxyl group of the zeolite surface or the water molecules desorbed from the zeolite pore acted as a catalyst like the general autocatalytic reaction of epoxy resin.
