Ecotourism as an alternative tourism was introduced as one way to sustainable tourism under the conceptual frame of ecosystem conservation. Recently, it has been openly discussed and received considerable attention. It was defined about different 39 ways from 1988 to 2000. The concept of ecotourism can be defined as follows; it is to tour wonder, beauty and rareness of ecosystem which natural and cultural heritage has. And it can keep qualitative level of environment by minimizing negative influences from tourism and give local inhabitants as much economic profits as possible. At the same time it is a type of sustainable tourism that increase tourists satisfaction and keep tourism on by getting them to watch, learn, and experience through physical and spiritual challenge. To realize the things mentioned above, the persons concerned should observe its principles. Tourists should follow its regulations and be given chances to pre-learn through educational programs. It can be divided into two parts. One is ecotourism in a narrow sense in which only a few elites can participate for its strict principles and regulations. The other is ecotourism in a broad sense in which the general public can take part in by making its principles and regulations relieved.
