Evaluation of Service Quality in University Web Sites

The main purposes of this study are to propose an exploratory model for evaluating university web sites based on service quallty that can explain the factors of user`s perceived service quality and investigate how these factors are related to user satisfaction. This research performed a survey and analysis is based on the results of the service quality model and previous research of the service quality In MIS. SERVQUAL. the data collection instrument most frequently used to measure service quality and to convey how customers judge the quality of service in many service industries, is provided as a possible measure of universlty web sites. Service quality measures five service dimensions of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results of this survey are summarized as follows: (1) Responslveness, empathy, tangibles, and reliability of university web sites are evaluated as very important factors. (2) Service quality is an antecedent of user satisfaction. (3) User satisfaction has significant effect on reuse intentions.
