본 연구는 여성가출청소년들이 가출유형에 따라 다양한 욕구와 문제에 직면해 있다는 관점에 근거해 가출청소년을 유형화하고 각 유형별로 어떤 심리사회적 문제가 있는지를 조사하였다. 이를 위해 부산광역시청소년쉼터에 입소한 입소자의 면담내용분석, 입소자와의 개별, 집단상담, 전문상담원의 면접을 통해 심리사회적 문제와 욕구를 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 가출유형을 탈출형, 추방형, 추구형으로 세분화하여 각 유형별로 심리사회적 문제와 욕구를 살펴보았다. 연구결과 밝혀진 내용은 다음과 같다. 입소자의 대다수는 탈출형이나 추방형이 많았으며 각 유형별로 상이한 욕구와 문제를 가지고 있었다. 또한 각 유형별로 가출동기, 개인적 특성, 배경 등은 상이하지만 일단 가출을 하면 가출기간이나 횟수가 많아져 습관적인 가출로 이어지고 중퇴, 폭행, 절도, 성폭행, 임신, 매춘 등 비행의 가해자인 동시에 피해자로 전락하는 것이 보편적인 현상으로 나타났다. 따라서 가출청소년에 대한 접근은 가출청소년의 욕구와 특성, 환경을 고려한 보다 개별적이고 전문적이고 집중적인 접근이 필요하며 특히 이들이 속한 가정환경의 열악함과 가출의 파급효과를 생각할 때 가출청소년에 대한 보다 적극적이며 체계적인 사회적 지원이 절대적으로 필요하다고 하겠다.

This study is based on the various problems and need that runaway girls are faced. According to their troubles and wishes, it classified them and examined about what kinds of psychosocial problems are showen in them. For this, psychosocial problems of them are studied analysing the runaway girls who have been in short stay shelter for girls in Pusan through counseling wish girls both by individual and the groups, analysis of it`s contents, and interviews done by professional workers. Types of runaway are specified as running from, thrown out, and running to. Each of them is analysed by their psychosocial problems and needs. The result of the study go as follows : It showes that most girls who have been in short stay shelter had no choice only but to choose to runaway from home and every of them had different problem and desires. It also showes that they have different motive of runaway, individual characteristics and background. But once they runaway from home, it becomes habitual and finally lead then to both victims and assaulters of various misbehaviors like drop out, violent thefts, unwanted pregnance, and prostitution. Therefore, it is needed to understand runaway girl`s need, characteristics and environment to take care of them. Particularly, considering the bad situations of their home and influence over other girls, it is imperative to support them from society systematically and positively.
