It is a fact that the industry which do not change could not exist under the present circumstance. There is a need today for a change in Korean Hotel Industry. That is, types of management are rearranged as soon as possible. It is not expected that the future of Hotel Industry and the improvement of service industry is clear in case of failure to change in Korean Hotel Industry. Accordingly, the aspect of General Manager in Hotel Industry must change to survive under the present market condition. The purpose of this study is to suggest the transformational leadership, which is different from the traditional type of transactional leadership to accomplish the goal of Hotel management and which is suitable for `A New Paradigm` The author attempts to specify the distinction of transformational leaders who attempt to satisfy current needs of followers and who attempt to raise the needs of followers and promote dramatic change of individuals, groups and organizations. A transformational leader is, as it were, a model of what a man ought to be who understands what employee need and what they want to be cared, and who emphasizes the value of corporate culture in Hotels, and establishes the standard of the job conduct. A transformational leader will be considered the manager as who have the courage to work for the improvement of Hotel Industry and will be respected as a competent leader from followers and subordinates.
