Polydor company used as a material of this research is a record company in German. The company had a branch in Japan in 1920`s. In 1931, korean branch was open by the company, and it began to make and produce SP records for korean music in september, 1932. Since this Polydor record contains 220 popular songs, this company has been professional for circulating them. By the result of this study, we can see that the song writer, Wang Pyong and the composer, Lee Myon-sang were active for appassional participation, making creation of popular songs. And SunWoo II-sun also took a part in making music as a singer. And then the story of the songs at that time was mostly about fare-well, missing, and sad love, etc., It explains a depressing society at that time. It`s easy to fond out that by whom the song was composered and written for popular songs. But, for traditional songs it`s hard to find out. And coming out of composer and writer made a new step in the modem korean history. Therefore, this research will be a good example in researching the modern korean music.
