The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between environment al concern and acceptability of environmental impacts among visitors in national park Mt. Nae-Jang located in Chon-buk province. Based on the concept of a social environmental paradigm shift, it was hypothesized that groups with greater levels of environmental concern are less accepting of environmental impacts in national park than groups with lesser degrees of concern. In this study, NEP(New Environmental Paradigm) items are used as the independent variables. And t-test analysis was used to examine differences in impact acceptability ratings across the two environmental concern groups(medium level NEP group/high level NEP group. The findings suggested that individuals with greater environmental concern were not less accepting of certain types of environmental impacts, while individuals with lesser degrees of environmental concern were not more accepting of certain types of environmental impacts.
