The writer of Ch` an-Kiparang-ga(Song of Praising Kiparang) and Anmin-ga (Song for peoples` Wellbeing), is a historical figure of King Ky ngd k`s age in Shilla dynasty. He is a poet combining lyricism and sociality of literature. Not only a high lyrical and aesthetic achievement but a deep social significance is a unique qualities of his poems. King Ky ngd k commented about Ch` an-Kiparang-ga that "its meaning is very deep." King`s speech means that this song should not be separate form social meanings. The meaning of praising personality of Kiparang implies that of praising Hwarang corps(花郞徒). In the light of Anmin-ga, Ch` ungdam-sa is a poet of constant faith and integrity. Ch` ungdam-sa and W lmy ng-sa is the two giant figures in the field of Hyangga and Korean classical poems. But two poet is different. W lmy ng-sa` poem is melodious lyric with pitiful tune and pungryu(風流). However, Ch` ungdam-sa`s poem is a well-ordered lyric with a strict poetic imagery and logical structure. It is a two streams of Korean classical poems.
