Here we tried to indicate that the history of Korea, China, and Japan martial arts has reciprocal, complementary meaning m cultural aspect. We tried to find out how to recognize the martial arts centering on the martial arts and martial dance. The study of martial arts is not limited only to its scope. The various methods of approach are cross-linked and the relations of adjacent studies are cross-linked as well. It tells that the history of martial arts does not stand alone m history, but it has a multiple structure with various fields and coexists. Although the history of Korean martial arts is established, it is only a fraction of the whole development process so that it needs to be newly established. The history of Korean martial arts needs to be rewritten by always complementing with its neighboring countries and modifying the history of Korean martial arts and its individual martial arts.
